Eligibility & Enrollment
At TEAM Services Group, we believe in making benefits accessible to all eligible employees. Our easy-to-understand eligibility criteria are designed to help you quickly determine your qualification for our benefits program, so you can focus on what matters most—your well-being.

Employee Eligibility
You may enroll in the benefits program if you are an active, full-time employee who is scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week. As a benefits-eligible employee, you may enroll in benefit plans as a new hire or during the annual Open Enrollment period.
If you’re enrolling as a new employee, you become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following your date of hire and must enroll within 14 days to have coverage for the rest of the plan year.
Outside of the annual Open Enrollment period, you will not be able to add, change or remove benefits unless you have a Qualified Life Event (QLE). See below to learn more about Qualified Life Events.

Dependent Eligibility
Eligible dependents include:
- Your legal spouse or domestic partner.
- Your natural children, legally adopted children, step children and children for whom you assume legal guardianship up to age 26.
- Children age 26 or older incapable of self-support due to a mental or physical condition incurred prior to age 26.

Making Changes During the Year: Qualified Life Events (QLEs)
You can change certain benefits mid-year only if you experience a Qualified Life Event (QLE).
You must report the event and submit documentation within 30 days from the date of the event, or you’ll need to wait until the next annual Open Enrollment period. Examples of QLEs and the documentation needed include:
- Marriage — marriage certificate
- Divorce or legal separation — judge signed divorce decree or notarized separation document
- Birth of a child — birth certificate or hospital discharge paperwork
- Adoption or placement — adoption or placement documents
- Loss of other coverage (e.g., aging off a parent’s plan, employer coverage ending, Medicare/CHIP ending) — document showing names and coverage end date (employer letter, HIPAA certificate, COBRA notice, carrier letter)
- Gain of other coverage — document showing names + new coverage start date (employer letter, ID card, carrier letter)
- Employment status change (part‑time to full‑time and vice versa) — typically no documentation required; verified internally
- Death of dependent or spouse — death certificate
- Move/relocation affecting plan availability — proof of new address
